River Kerbet
The river
originated between Forfar and Dundee running through farming land
until it meets the Dean.
In the 70's and
early 80's it provided good fishing to local anglers but due to
over fishing (killing!), and the availability of so many Rainbow
filled lochs, it does not appear to be fished in any serious
manner. Another contribution of the fall of the water may be the
construction of dam and Douglastown which prevents movement of
trout upstream from the Dean.
There are a
number of
excellent pools on the river which still contain fish - they can
been seen with the use of Polaroid glasses and can, for the
careful angler, provide sport - albeit for relatively small trout.
